Mae’s Heart Community Services, NFP was proud to stand alongside Kim Chalmers and Hazel Crest School District 152.5 in supporting families and residents affected by the recent severe storms and tornadoes across Chicago’s Southland.
In the aftermath of the storms, community leaders, volunteers, partners, and residents came together to respond to the immediate needs of those impacted. Through these collective efforts, hundreds of meals and essential resources were distributed to individuals and families throughout the affected communities.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Kim Chalmers for her leadership and commitment to bringing people and resources together during a time of significant need. Her dedication to Hazel Crest School District 152.5, the communities of Hazel Crest and Markham, and families throughout the surrounding area reflects the spirit of service and collaboration that strengthens our communities.
At Mae’s Heart Community Services, we believe strong communities are built when organizations, leaders, and neighbors work together—especially during times of hardship. We were grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this important relief effort and to serve alongside so many individuals committed to helping our neighbors recover.
When the Southland is hurting, the Southland comes together. ❤️
