Community partnerships create stronger communities—and Mae’s Heart Community Services was honored to be part of this year’s Community Day in Calumet City.
Hosted in collaboration with the City of Calumet City, Mayor Thaddeus Jones, Alderman Ramonde D. Williams, Nu Pi Chapter (OPPF Inc.), and New Life Non-Denominational Church, the event brought together organizations, businesses, and community leaders with one shared purpose: connecting residents to valuable resources and services.
Mae’s Heart Community Services proudly contributed clothing, beverages, and household essentials to help support local individuals and families. Throughout the day, attendees also had access to employment resources, financial education, voter registration, food distribution, career opportunities, and a variety of additional community services designed to strengthen families and promote long-term stability.
The Power of Community Partnerships
Community Day served as a reminder that meaningful change happens when organizations come together to serve a common purpose. Through collaboration, compassion, and shared resources, families were connected with opportunities that can make a lasting difference in their lives.
Events like these not only address immediate needs but also strengthen the relationships that help communities continue to grow and thrive.
Committed to Serving the Southland
At Mae’s Heart Community Services, our mission extends beyond individual programs—we are committed to building lasting partnerships that improve the quality of life for families throughout Chicago’s Southland.
Whether through workforce development, resource navigation, community outreach, or collaborative events like Community Day, we remain dedicated to creating pathways toward opportunity, stability, and hope.
We are grateful to every organization, volunteer, and community member who helped make this event a success, and we look forward to continuing our work together to build stronger, healthier, and more connected communities.
