Supporting Students. Strengthening Families. Building Community. 🎒

Mae’s Heart Community Services, NFP was proud to serve as a co-sponsor of Calumet City’s Annual Back-to-School Event on Saturday, August 8.

The event brought together families, community leaders, and local organizations with a shared purpose: helping students start the new school year prepared, confident, and ready to succeed. Families received free backpacks, school supplies, and access to valuable community resources, providing meaningful support as they prepared for the year ahead.

We were especially grateful for the opportunity to once again partner with Alderman Ramonde Williams and Alderman DeAndre Tillman, whose continued commitment to children and families helps strengthen Calumet City and the surrounding communities.

At Mae’s Heart Community Services, we believe that supporting young people extends beyond meeting immediate needs—it means helping create the foundation for their long-term success. Community partnerships like this demonstrate the impact we can make when organizations, local leaders, and residents work together to strengthen families and create opportunities for our youth.

We are proud to continue showing up, serving, and investing in the future of youth and families throughout Chicago’s Southland. ❤️
